Academic Dr Christina Houen has over ten years’ experience in writing and editing academic theses, articles, book chapters, monographs and anthologies. She worked for 18 months as a project officer in the Department of Architecture Interior Architecture at Curtin University, Perth WA, Australia, where she acquired a sound knowledge of the research culture of the built environment.
Dr Houen has edited several published anthologies and monographs on architecture, interior architecture and design. Although not trained in architecture, her academic training is interdisciplinary, cross-cultural and eclectic, so the theories and practice of architecture and design are familiar territory. She edits for style, grammar and punctuation, flow, coherence and consistency, with an eye to simple and concise expression, and respecting the author’s voice.
